He is survived by his wife, Deanna Smith, and daughter, Amanda Velasquez both of Jacksonville. Sister, Kathy Wilson of Brown Summit, NC and grandchild, Mason Velasquez.
He was a former photographer for the Jacksonville Daily News.
The family will receive friends at 6pm, Monday, May 2, 2016 at Ducks in Jacksonville.
