

Robert Barber has been in the central Florida area since 1960. He was a self employed, talented brick and block mason. He also was a sub contractor for Welbro Construction for 27 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Barber, and his loving pet Sophie.
Robert is survived by his mother Eula May Barber of Jacksonville, daughters Benita Badertscher (Wayne C) of Chuluota, FL, Delores Williams (Ronald) of Mt. Dora, FL, and Roberta Barber of Orlando, FL, brothers Walter Woodrow Barber (Jacquelyn) of Jacksonville, Stephen Albert Barber (Sylvia) of Jacksonville, William Austin Barber of Jones Co., Benjamin Franklin Barber of Jacksonville, and Clarence Ray Barber (Joyce) of Orlando, FL, grandchildren Rebecca Lynn Fricker – Badertscher and Wayne Scott Badertscher, and great grandchildren Brooke Eileen Fricker – Badertscher, Delilah Lynn Fricker – Badertscher, Lucy Alice Fricker – Badertscher, and Blake Aydian – Burnette Badertscher.
Visitation for Robert will be at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, NC on Thursday evening from 6 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, NC with Reverend Robert Earl Jarman officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Onslow Memorial Park.
