Sgt. Robert Rob Alan Cumberland

Sgt. Robert Alan Cumberland was currently serving in the United States Marine Corp. where he was awarded the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal; Letter of Appreciation; Certificate of Appreciation. He was preceded in death by his father: Duane Cumberland.

A Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 23, 2011 at the New River Air Station Base Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tom Doheny presiding. Burial will follow at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery with Military Honors.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Allison Cumberland; sons: Kori Cumberland, Markus Cumberland, Malcolm Cumberland all of the home; daughters: Tara Marie Sammoms and husband Michael of Covington, Ga., Kala Monique Cumberland of the home; mother: Jane K. Cumberland of Wausau, Wisc.; brothers: Thomas Cumberland of Wauzeka, Wisc., Mark Cumberland and companion Carrie Koski of DePere, Wisc., Russell Cumberland and wife Lisa of Sarasota, Fla.; sisters: Barbara West and husband Robert of Kronenwetter, Wisc., Kay M. Knapp and husband Dale of Merrill, Wisc., Lynn M. Cumberland of Wausau, Wisc.; grandchild: Aiden James Cumberland; several nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends and a very special buddy: Kayden I. Pickett.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
