
Earline Russell Norris Ellis was born on October 6, 1922 to Willie Meadows Russell and Henry Martin Russell in Jasper Alabama. She died on Saturday January 24, 2015. Earline married Cletus Norris on July 4, 1941 and they celebrated fifty years of marriage. They were parents to one son, Don Norris. Earline was a self-employed hairdresser in Jasper for many years owning Style Beauty Salon. She was an active member of the Jasper BPW. She was a lifetime member of Northside Baptist Church and a faithful member of the Merry Hearts Class. Earline was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Clara Russell, her first husband Clete Norris, her granddaughter Aimee Davis and her second husband Ralph Ellis. She is survived by her son and his wife Sue of Austin Texas, her sister Nell Philpot, nephew Phil Philpot, four nieces Geraldine Redmill, Renee Bowen, Fanchon Griffith, and Dion Fox. She is also survived by Mr. Ellis's three daughters, Anita, Connie, and Gayla. Also surviving Earline are two grandsons Chris (Amy) Davis and David (Jennifer) Davis and five great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Pall bearers will be her nephews and great nephews Phil Philpot, Rick Bowen, Franklin Griffith, Mike Fox, Steve Redmill, Ricky Bowen, William David Bowen, Weston Griffith, Braden Griffith, and Peyton Fox. The family is very grateful to Earline's dedicated care givers, RuthAnn, Rosa, Jennifer, and Leslie. The service is January 27, 2015 at 11AM at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10-11AM. Bro. David Byrd will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Northside Baptist Church.
