Christine Hyche Beaird was called to join her late husband in her Heavenly home on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at the age of 96. A graveside service will be held Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. The service will be officiated by her loving nephew, John W. Hyche. Mrs. Beaird was a long time, active member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper. She was a unique and loving Christian woman who quickly made friends with everyone she would meet whether young or old. She married T. Leon Beaird on Oct. 12, 1941. They had two children, James R. Beaird and Mari Rose Chris Anna Beaird-Thornburg. Christine was completely dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives. Mrs. Beaird’s interests were sewing, dancing, cooking, Garden Club and serving her church and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. Hyche and Bertha C. Franklin Hyche; two brothers, James O. Hyche and Bobby R. Hyche; and her husband, Judge T. Leon Beaird. She is survived by her son, James R.Beaird (Tyra Beaird) and her daughter, MariRose ChrisAnna Beaird-Thornburg.
