Betty Burns

Betty Marie Burns, 100, of Shreveport, LA, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022,

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022, at 2 p.m., at New Oak Grove Cemetery of Nauvoo, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing.

Betty was born in Nauvoo Alabama, resided in Adamsville, most of her adult life. In her last years she lived with her daughter in Texas. Betty was a member of the Adamsville Church of Christ. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, loved outdoor activities and was an enthusiastic quilt maker, making quilts for all her children, grandchildren and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband

Chester Marvin Burns; son, Chester Wayne Burns; daughters, Lavonne Blackwell and Ann

Adams; parents, Oscar and Sarah Bailey; Sons-in-law, Joe Blackwell and Gary

Adams; three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Naomi Russell

(Jim), 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
