Bettye Lou Garrett

Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 30 at Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Longtime friend, Dale Palmer will officiate.

She was a long time member of Curry Church of Christ and recently attended Oyster Bay Baptist Church until health prevented

She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, Richard Garrett, to whom she was married for 58 years; eldest grandson, Shane Rigsby; parents, Andrew Jackson Tirey, and Louella Ellis Tirey; sisters, Jessie, Ora, and Virginia, and brothers, Clyde and Jack.

She leaves behind four children, Ricky Garrett (Corrina), Sandra Rigsby (Gary), Billy Garrett (Debra), and Andy Garrett (Susan); special daughter-in-law, Esther Duncan and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dano, P.A., Richard, Brannon, Landon, and great-grandson Jack.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to donate to Alzheimer's research in her name.
