Bettye Sara “Doc” McClendon, 78, of Jasper, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 6 p.m.
Bettye retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years. She was also a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Helen Watson; husband, Jerry McClendon; sister, Charlotte Armstrong; and brother, Doug Watson.
She is survived by her children, Bobby McClendon (Lisa), Tracy McClendon (Franky), Jami Camp (Jamie), Jeffery McClendon (Tiffany), and Angie Moran (Bruce); grandchildren, Toby Camp (Courtney), Jillian Camp, Braden McClendon, Trent Drummond and Austin Moran; great grandchildren, Mason McClendon, Quinnley McClendon, Peyton McClendon, and Barbara Camp; nephew, Marty Crumpton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
