

Bobby C. Patterson born March 9, 1945, in Walker County, Alabama, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Family will receive friends Monday, January 25, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Charles Underwood and Bro. Gene Grace will officiate.
Bobby served in the Army Big Red 1 unit in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He served on the Parrish Fire Department for 60 years and was awarded the Raymond “Gilder” Kelly Memorial Firefighter of the year award in 2013. He was a member of the Masons of the Odom Craft Lodge for 50 years. He worked at the Mary Lee 1, Mary Lee 2, and Shoal Creek mines for 35 years. He served as chairman of the Parrish water board for 8 years. He was a Boy Scout leader and he served as a deacon at Odom Memorial Baptist Church for 4 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Dupree Patterson; mother, Alma Sale Patterson; and brother, Raymond Dorrough.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Clydie Sue Hendrix Patterson of Parrish, AL.; sons, Bobby Ray Patterson of Carbon Hill, AL., and Joseph Rix (Kelly) of Kimberly, AL.; grandsons, Braxton Cole, Nathan Cameron, and Walker Rhett; and pawpaws princess Halle Britt.
Pallbearers will be Cole Patterson, Donnie Hendrix, Steve Deardorff, Chad Key, Scot Martin, Philip Frost, Bobby Minor, and Chris Williams.
