The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15th, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. A service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Terrance Cleghorn will officiate.
Bonnie was born and raised on a farm in Nauvoo, Alabama. She grew up showing Jersey heifers, went to school at Lupton, graduated from Walker County Highschool and then went to secretarial school for stenography. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and canning. She enjoyed traveling with Larry to horse-related events all over the US. She served as an Elder’s wife at Crossroads Church of Christ for numerous years, but most of all she loved being around her family and being Maw Maw to her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry T Edwards; parents, James and Ella Fair Shubert; siblings, James Shubert and Bobby Shubert; grandparents, Lewis and Millie Ann Shubert and Marion and Francis Chandler; in-laws, Sterling and Florabell Edwards; and granddaughter, Laura Ashley Edwards.
She is survived by her children, Rick Edwards and Chris (Lisa) Edwards; grandchildren, Matthew (Jamie) Edwards, Ethan (Maeghan) Edwards, Colt Edwards, Riley (Dakota) Billings and Seth (Kelsey) Edwards; siblings, Peggy (Wayne) Berry, Gerald (Linda) Shubert and Ann (Arnold) Trimm; and great grandchildren, Ellie Edwards, Lacey Edwards and Gus Billings.
Pallbearers will be Matt Edwards, Seth Edwards, Colt Edwards, Dakota Billings, Corey Shubert and Ethan Edwards.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bual and Dual Tubbs and Steve Hart.
