Bonnie was born in Walker County and was a graduate of the University of Alabama. Her major was in education, leading her to teach school for 41 years, most of them for the Jasper City School System.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George, and Lorene Wheeler Plyler; brothers Howard Plyler, Truman Plyler, EZ Plyler, James “Jim” Plyler and Ray Plyler; sister, Lucy Lane Plyler Posey. Bonnie is survived by a host of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 3:00pm at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers, please donate to ‘Monday Meals’ at Sixth Avenue church of Christ 1501 6th Avenue South Jasper, Alabama 35501.
