Charles Franklin Upton

The family will welcome friends at the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, from 1 until 2 p.m. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Jeff Allred and Don Graham will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Mexie Upton; wife, Linda M. Upton; sisters, Rosa Cooper (Homer); and brothers, Gaines Upton and Gary Upton; and granddaughter, Emily Upton.

He is survived by his sons, Chris Upton (Lee), Scott Upton (Michelle), daughter, Theresa Bachstein (James); grandchildren, Matthew Bachstein (Frances), Kayla Collins (Brent), Anna Caroline Bachstein and Noah Upton; great-grandchildren, Anna Leigh Collins, Cohen Collins and Nathanael Bachstein; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Charles Franklin Upton (1942-2024) of Jasper, Alabama, was born in Red Bay, Alabama. He graduated from West Jefferson High where he was an active member of the Alumni Association. Charles was an avid hunter and loved to fish, especially with his grandchildren. He attended Eastside Baptist Church and loved to serve the Lord any way he could.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eastside Baptist Church, Jasper, Alabama.
