Clarence Jesse Powell, 83, of Jasper went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, from noon until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Oak Hill Cemeter. Powell was preceded in death by his parents, Laud O. Powell and Melissa Gurganus Powell; and brothers, Charles Powell, Clyde Powell, Conley Powell, and Cullman Powell. He is survived by his wife, Joan Hoobler Powell; children, Kathy Powell Davidson and her husband, James D. Davidson Jr., Clarence Scott Powell and Jimmy Ray Powell; grandchildren, Jefferson Daniel Davidson and Lily Grace Powell; great-grandchildren, Capri Ann Davidson; sister, Joy Powell Taylor; and brother, Clay William Powell.
