

Family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the Eldridge Church of Christ. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary with burial at Kelly Cemetery in Eldridge. Jason Moore and Lonie Ingram will officiate.
Clyde Ray Roden, born on November 17, 1934. A dedicated retiree from Marshall Durbin, where he served as boiler manager for the Poultry company. Clyde was known not only for his hard work but also for his joyful spirit and love for life. Clyde cherished his time at the lake, enjoying skiing and camping while spending time with friends and family. He had a sp ecial bond with man’s best friend, always showing a soft spot for his loyal companion. His enjoyment extended to working alongside family, whether it involved cutting trees or repairing equipment, where his great problem-solving skills shone through.
A man with a remarkable memory, Clyde delighted family and friends with quick jokes and timeless sayings, always delivered at just the right moment. He was a natural storyteller, seamlessly weaving tales of his rich past into normal conversations, delighting those who listened. His warmth and humor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his spouses, Alice Herron Roden and Jean Grace Roden; parents, Lester and Mamie Roden.
He is survived by his children, Tony Roden (Rogene), Tena Miles (Mike) and Tanya Damico (Frank); siblings, Sharon Rutledge (Terry); grandchildren, Vince Roden (Jill), Craig Roden (Lauren), Alicia Dodd (Jake) great grandchildren, Connor Roden (Kensley), Allie Roden, McCoy Roden, Myles Roden and Jacob Dodd, Jean Grace Roden’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
Pallbearers will be Vince Roden, Craig Roden, Frank Damico, Connor Roden and Terry
Rutledge.
In lieu of Flower, the family request donations be made to "Friends with food" c/o Eldridge Church of Christ or Childhaven.
