Delories Roberson was born on Dec. 26, 1956, and proudly graduated from Carbon Hill High School, where she shined as a majorette and formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. She went on to dedicate 37 years of service to her community and country through her work with the United States Postal Service. After retiring from the postal service, Delories continued giving of herself by driving a school bus for the Walker County School System for nine years and served on the Carbon Hill City Board of Education.
While Delories was proud of all she accomplished, her greatest joy and favorite role in life was being “Yaya” to her nine grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She will be remembered for her laughter, her strength, and the love she poured into her family, friends, and community. Delories’ legacy lives on in every life she touched, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bus Eads & Melba Faye Eads; siblings, Brenda Tucker and Phillip Eads; grandparents, Elizie Merchant, Lela Mae Merchant, Paul Eads and Fannie Eads.
She is survived by her children, Jacquelyn Allred (Heath) and Matthew Roberson (Amanda); siblings, Linda Eads, Nenia Cagle (Curt), Sonya Eads and Donald Tucker; grandchildren, Andrew Prescott, Hunter Prescott, Jonah Prescott, Braydon Allred (Rhea), Saidee Prescott (Kim), Berkley Allred, Hayden Rose Roberson, Lincoln Roberson and Matti Mae Roberson and a host of other relatives and friends.
