Donald Boyd Taylor Donald Boyd Taylor, 73, of Vestavia, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at St. Vincent’s Birmingham. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at 7 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. George Barrera will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper. Taylor was a member of 1957 Walker County High School Football State Championship Team. He graduated from Florence State College and received his Masters degree at Mississippi State University. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Frances Kilgore Taylor; and father, Boyd Romine Taylor. He is survived by his former wife, Bonita Deavours Taylor; daughter, Melanie Taylor; son, Landon Taylor; aunt, Bettye Maynord; and half sister, Cindi Herron Cain.
