Mrs. Eunice Faye Martin

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, from noon until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fayette.

Faye was an active member of her community, never meeting a stranger and always willing to offer a helping hand. She was a talented seamstress and creator of beautiful cakes and floral arrangements. She loved few things more than Elvis and Alabama football. She held season tickets for the same seats at Bryant Denny Stadium for over 50 years and was a beloved member of Tide Pride. The only thing she loved more than her Crimson Tide was her husband of 56 years, Mack, and her large host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mack Martin; parents, John Lee and Ida Pike; siblings, James Pike, Glendon Pike, Lou Annie Files, Bessie Mae Nix, Roberta Nix, Betty Jean Harbin, Johnny Powell, Mary Alice Pike and Eloise Mitchell; nieces, Gail Nix and Carol Mitchell; nephews, Terry Pike and Roger Nix; and in-laws, William and Pinky Martin.

She is survived by her nieces, Glenda Sandlin (Roger), Vickie Mitchell, Sherrie Hillegass (James), Judy Files, Kim Harbin and Karla Doyle (Dave); nephews, David Nix (Marilyn), Ricky Nix, Ted Mitchell and David Grimes; great-niece, Tracy Garner (Chad) and Kandi Nix Gillespie (David); great-nephews, Shane Nix and Ryan Sandlin; great-great-nieces and nephews, Jessica Hunt (Kenny), Marlea Gillespie, Ava Zell Gillespie, Ravyn Sandlin, Brandlee Sandlin, Jordan Davis, Blanton Gillespie, Bennett Gillespie, Silas Nix, Cashen Nix, Madie Nix, Kylee Nix and Sebastian Garner; great-great-great-nephew, Tripp Hunt; and a host other relatives and friends.
