Florence Virginia Studdard Johnson

Florence Virginia Studdard Johnson, 91, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her children. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life and she loved them all dearly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6. 2017, from noon until 1 p.m. at Sumiton Church of God, with funeral services following at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Studdards Crossroads Cemetery. Victor Massey and Lane Sargent will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lura Johnson; parents, Carl and Dolly Miller Studdard; brothers, Bobby Studdard and Leland Studdard; and sister, Lillian Jenkins She is survived by her children, Steve Johnson (Linda), Tommy Johnson (Gail), Patty Poe (J.C.) and Pam Johnson (Ricky Clements); grandchildren, Matthew Poe (Nicole), Joel Johnson (Felicia), Jeremy Johnson, Logan Johnson (Morgan) and Ashley Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Marne Herron, Charlene Bynum and Josephine Piper; brother, Phil Studdard; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and special family caregiver, Delisca Kelly. Pallbearers will be Matthew Poe, Joel Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Logan Johnson, Billy Jenkins and Bobby Jenkins.
