Frankie Moon, 90, of Rusk, TX, formerly of Jasper, took her journey to Heaven on March 18, 2019.
Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019, from 10 until 11 a.m., at Hermon Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., at Hermon Baptist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Burial at Hermon Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Alfred Hartley will officiate.
Frankie was born on April 16, 1928 in Jasper, Alabama. She married the love of her life, Lacy Moon in 1943 at the age of 15. Several years later they moved to Southgate, Michigan where they raised their family. In 1980 they moved back to Alabama where Frankie continued her career with K-Mart till she retired several years later. She moved to Rusk, Texas in 2012 where she remained till her passing. Frankie was a member of Hermon Baptist Church in Curry, Alabama and attended Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Moon; son, Randy Moon; parents, John & Alice Manning; sisters, Jewel Kitchens (Jess) and Verla Mae Kilgore (Raymond); and brother, J.D. Manning (Billie).
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Moon of Texas; son, James Moon of Tennessee; grandsons, Chris, Rusty, Jimmy and Jacob; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
