Franklin Brown

Franklin Brown, 88, of Carbon Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at UAB Palliative Care. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 5, 2025, from noon until 2 p.m. at 6th Avenue Church of Christ. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at McDade Cemetery. No graveside service. Kevin Richardson, Levi Sides, Ben Wright and Roy Williams will officiate.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Claudia Brown; siblings, H C Brown (Jimmie Nell), Louie Brown (Thomasine), and Betty Cunnigham (William Jr.); granddaughter, Dalana Tucker; great granddaughter, Piper Tucker, and mother-in-law, Gertrude Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Brown; daughters, Robin Busby (Danny), and Kim Haynes (Gary); granddaughter, Brandi Richardson (Kevin); great grandchildren, Libby Tucker, Averie Richardson, and Charlie Richardson; and brother, Robert Brown (Deloris).

Pallbearers will be Todd Aaron, Bucky Berry, Howard Brown, Scott Brown, Chris Robbins, Vince Roden, and Randy Woods.

Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Aaron, Joe Atkins, Danny Busby, Gary Haynes, Jonathan McGinnis, David Preston, Jeremy Windham and elders of 6th Avenue Church of Christ.
