. Fred Nelson Sherer Fred Nelson Sherer, 83, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Shadescrest Heath Care Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore Green Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Sherer was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Jessie Sherer; son, Charles Nelson Sherer; brothers, Melvin Earnest, Howard Sherer and Clint Sherer Jr.; and sisters, Eunice Christine and Jesse Mae Abbott. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce “Faye” Sherer; son, Bruce Sherer (Deanna); daughter, Pat Brown (Jr); grandchildren, Jordan and John Pullins, Justis and Jared Sherer and Christopher Brown; great-granddaughter, Addisyn Sherer; brothers, Charles W. Sherer and Cowboy Sherer; sister, Elsie Hulsey; many other family and friends; and special friends, staff at Shadescrest Health Care.
