Fred Allen Tidwell

Fred Allen Tidwell joined our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 14, 2025. He still slept on the same bed he was born at home in on May 29, 1938 in Winfield, Alabama, to the late Gaither Tidwell and the late Annie Paul Snipes of Winfield, AL. Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and patriot having served as a Specialist Fourth Class in the United States Army. He proudly owned three NAPA Auto Parts Stores for over 50 years in Jasper, Carbon Hill, and Cordova and briefly attended the University of Alabama. He was a godly man who attended Jasper First Methodist Church.

Fred is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Walker Tidwell, of Jasper, AL; son, Patrick Tidwell of Northport, AL (wife, Andrea); granddaughter, Mina of Northport, AL (11); grandson, Joseph of Northport, AL (7).

He is preceded in death by brother, James Thomas Tidwell of CA.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Bryan Richardson will officiate.
