Just read in the paper about the passing of Mrs. Redmill. She was such a special woman and a part of my families life for so many years in the Redmill/Saragossa community and at Bethel church. Although I've been gone from Alabama for 40 plus years, when I came to visit and went to church, she always had a hug for me with loving words. To her beautiful family, you're in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve your loss. She was ready to join her Buddy and meet her Lord & Savior so I know that's your comfort with your loss.

We too were so blessed to call Geneva Redmill - Nanny. My daughter, Erin, stayed under her care for 4+ years. She always treated her like she was her very own. We loved Papa Buddy too. Erin would eat anything that Nanny prepared. We could make the same thing at home and she wouldn't touch it. She always said, "It don't taste like Nanny's." We never worried about her being safe and loved when she was with Nanny and Papa Redmill. She was well loved by all the children she cared for. She will be missed. Happy reunion day Nanny! I know you longed to see Robin and Papa Buddy. I'm sure they welcomed you with open arms.

I am so sorry to hear that Geneva will no longer be here on earth. She was always so sweet to my daughter Hannah Lockhart and I. I'm sure she is fixing Eugene a meal right now in Heaven! I remember going to church with Geneva and sitting in her living room as she told me stories. She would always try to feed you. She will always hold a special place in my heart for the love and kindness she gave me. Heaven gained a true angle and I will forever remember her! Sending prayers to the family at this time.
With Love, Charlene Naramore

I do not know how to begin writing something deserving of one of the most special and loving people of my life. Neevie helped raise me. I am picturing a bunch of us kids sitting outside or under the carport with Neevie helping her shell purple hull peas with the radio playing and Neevie singing the gospel along as if she were standing on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry. She wrote the name of each child she had ever cared for in her Bible. Wow. I will always remember my favorite lunch - fried potatoes, macaroni and cheese and pork and beans. My mouth waters thinking of it now. I am so happy to have such a great photo from my last visit with her - with Alissa and her children. I know Neevie is so happy to be with Jesus and reunited with Robin and Buddy Redmill, as she always said. My life is richer and I am a better person because of Neevie. So many memories. So much love.

Nevie was an amazing woman! She taught us kids everything! To love each other, respect, patience with one another. She taught us what it was to be a family. She loved everyone of us like we were her own. She treated everyone of us like we were hers. If we got out of line she would punish us like we were hers. That is why the kids that stayed with Nevie are great adults today. Thank you Nevie for your love and your family’s love. Thank you for letting me be a part of such an amazing family. I loved you so much! 💕
