James Evans Culver Jr., 64, of Arley, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026, at home. Family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Arley. Donnie Hargrove will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Horace Bates (Lorene); stepmother Patsey Culver (James Evans Culver Sr.); and brother, Johnny Bates.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Julie Culver and her children Lori Nelson and Justin Culver; ex-wife, Lena Culver and her children Joseph Butler and Whitney Butler; ex-wife, Julie Culver and her child Jackson Culver; siblings, Wendell Culver, Elizabeth Hiatt, Micheal Culver, Angel Hargrove, Judy Bates, and Carl Bates; and 12 grandchildren.
