James Edward Davidson

James Edward Davidson, 78, of Oakman, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at home. Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 7 p.m. Danny Pettus and Kevin Sandford will officiate. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Sarah Ann Davidson; siblings, Sarah Kathryn Davidson (Hicks), George Aaron Davidson, Charles Owen Davidson, and Mitchell Allen Davidson; grandfather, Jeremiah Jerome Davidson; in laws, Glenda Mayo Davidson Morris, Peter William Astafan, William Maxton Malone, Roger Dean Miniard, and Chester Raiford Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Davidson; 3 sisters, Alice Astafan, Myrtle Malone, and Jane Miniard; 1 brother, Paul Davidson (Hilda); in laws, Betty Davidson and Linda Davidson.

Pallbearers will be Clay Tucker, Cameron Tucker, Zane Kizziah, Geoff Malone, Brian Davidson, and Clay Grice.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hospice Aveanna workers Melanie Dyer, Tawanna Robinson, Kayla West, Tom Grezd: Social Worker, and Ana Lopez. VA Caregivers Greg Pruett and Lisa Welch social worker. Along with Oakman Church of Christ and his neighbors.
