

Jerry Neal Brown Jr., 72, of Cordova, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family and friends, on July 24th, 2026. He was a lifetime resident of Cordova, Alabama. He was a big supporter of Cordova Blue Devils and Jacksonville State Gamecocks.
Jero was known for being a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He found great joy in spending time with friends and family, especially his granddaughters, who he loved with all of his heart. He also truly loved his two dogs, Jake and Baby, they were his world.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27th, at Long Memorial Methodist Church from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Service will follow afterwards in the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cordova.
He is preceded in death his parents, Jerry Neal Brown and Carolyn Bell Brown; nephews, Ethan Brown and Giles Brown; and life-long friends, Bobby Kilpatrick and Billy Ray Kilpatrick.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Neal Brown III (Stephanie) of Cordova; grandchildren, Maddie and Jada; brother, Shelton Brown (Samantha) of Jacksonville; nephew, William Brown (Jessica) of Jacksonville; and special friends, Tim and Charlotte Hyche.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hyche, Hunter Hyche, William Brown, Howard Bell, Allen Bell and Larry McAdams.
