

Louie Bruce Sandlin, 59, of Carbon Hill, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Carbon Hill First United Methodist Church from 2 until 3 p.m. Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Burial at McDade Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Geist officiating.
Louie was a lifelong resident of Carbon Hill. He graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1980. He was the owner of Millcreek for 22 years. He was a member of Carbon Hill First United Methodist Church. He loved his family and was so proud of his children, grandchildren and loved his sweet grand-dog, Ellie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary “Tootsie” Rubley Sandlin; brother, Cooper Sandlin; and grandparents, Rounder and Sophia Sandlin, James and Esther Rubley.
He is survived by his wife, Lynly Sandlin; children, Kinley Sandlin, Gabby Sandlin, Tyler Keene (Mandy); grandchildren, Tucker Reed Keene and Avery Jane Keene; grand-dog, Ellie; siblings, Darlene Jenkins, Rounder “Fox” Sandlin and Eddie Joe Davis; in-laws, Henry and Jane McDonald, Jerry Trimm; brother-in-law, Mark Trimm (Catrina); sister-in-law, Pat Earnest (Billy); special niece, Anna Earnest; special friend, Sarge; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Carbon Hill First United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Sandlin, David Sandlin, Wesley Sandlin, Larry Gilliland, Dalton Gilliland, and Joel Gray.
