What beautiful memories I have of time spent with Martha! She was “the best” GA leader ever and was always such an encourager. She helped you to keep on trying!

I could never put into words what an honor it was to accompany Martha and Hazel to the hospital for Andrea’s birth. I claim her as part mine.❤️ Ralph was working and could not get home in time, so we got to pace the floor. Martha’s first question to me was, “Does she have any hair?” She was so excited when I explained that she had a head full of beautiful, dark hair. We laughed many times about that night. She will continue to bless me as I recall the many life lessons I learned from this remarkable lady. What a beautiful Christian example she was❣️

She was a wonderful person always smiling. Great substitute teacher she treated us all like her own kids. Even when she yelled at me or Micheal or Steven lol she did it in a low voice. Always willing to help on any school function. She will be missed. She was one of a kind just like most of the woman of eldridge.

Ralph and Andrea, My condolences go out to you. Martha was one of the sweetest and caring person I've ever known. I have so many fond Eldridge memories of her and even more. It's been such an honor to know her. I know you are hurting now, but look where she is now. She is rejoicing and pain free. We love you!

Ralph and Andrea, I've loved Martha all my life. I have such warm memories of times spent in GAs and how Martha loved us all. May you find comfort and peace knowing that she is with our loving Father and that you will be reunited one day. Love to you all.

When Martha was my GA leader at church, one of the many ways she helped me was in memorizing the 24th Psalm and the 13th chapter of 1 Corinthians. That was a challenge, but she’d say, “You’ve almost got it. Let’s try it one more time,” until I finally did learn the passages. To this day, I think of Martha when I hear those familiar words, “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,” and, “ Now abideth faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love.” Martha’s life was all about love—for her family, her community, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know she lives with Him today.
