Mrs. Martha Frances Welch

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, burial at Day Cemetery. Bro. Randy Johnson and Bro. Kyle Hicks will officiate.

She was born in Oakman, lived majority of her life in Oakman, graduated Oakman High School, and attended Walker College. Martha worked at Arrow Shirt Factory for 10 years, Manager of Oaks Apartments for over 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Oakman First Baptist Church. She and Elmer Welch were married for approximately 60 years, they had 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and they enjoyed traveling. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adel Worthington and TG Worthington; grandparents, Docia and Sam Davidson, and Billy and Daisy Worthington; in-laws, Dove and Ola Welch; brothers-in-law, Perry D. Welch and Horace Battles; and sister-in-law, Emma Ree Welch Battles.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer P. Welch; children, Dennis E. Welch (Sylvia) and Bethany D. Welch Brewer (Mike); grandchildren, Keri Beth Adams (Hunter), Kodey J. Welch (Cassie), Emily C. Tubbs (Mason), Patrick D. Welch (Marie), Phillip M. Brewer and Andrew P. Welch; great grandchildren, Addyson Kaye Tubbs, Bentley Ray Tubbs and Hayden Belen Welch; brother-in-law, Bobby Welch; sisters-in-law, Donnie Welch and Pat Welch and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
