Martha Grace Wilson

Martha Grace Israel Wilson, 93, of Jasper, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at home. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Dr. Michael Adams will officiate.

Ms. Wilson graduated from Misses Howard’s School for Girls and attended Walker College. She was a resident of Jasper most of her life and was employed as Federal Funds bookkeeper with The Jasper City Board of Education for 32 years. She was a long time member of Jasper First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She also enjoyed traveling to different countries, reading and creating portraits in cross stitching. When her grandchildren were young, she enjoyed making Hand French Sewn garments for each of the girls.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Jim Wilson Sr.; parents, E.C. and Mary Richardson Israel; stepmother, Frances W. Israel; grandparents, H.C. and Grace Cate Richardson; in laws, Audie and Pauline Jackson Wilson.

She is survived by her children, Jim Wilson Jr. (Janie) and Lynn Wilson Aaron (Tim); grandchildren, Brittney Cate Wilson, Bethanne Wilson Hix, Martha MaLeigh Aaron Roberston (Stephen), James Whit Wilson (Lindsey), and Mary Kason Aaron Mercatante (Matthew); great grandchildren, Wilson Garrett Hix, James Connor Hix, Evelyn Grace Robertson, Amellia Joel Robertson, Lilah Joy Wilson, James Asher Wilson, Frances Victoria Mercatante, and Onzell Bernadette Mercatante. A special thanks to the caregivers who allowed her to remain in her home, Frankie, Alice, Brenda, TaShauna, Valerie, and Dionne.

Pallbearers will be Whit Wilson, Stephen Robertson, Matthew Mercatante, Tom Byars, Tony Sparks, Sonny Springer, and Gary Rowland.

Honorary pallbearer is Wes Richardson.
