Ann S. Grainger, a long-time resident of Huntsville, AL, passed on July 27, 2018. She was born March 30, 1937 to the late Nadine Tidwell Strickland and Carter Bartly Strickland of Carbon Hill, AL.

Ann will be remembered for her extremely kind and generous heart. She had a smile that could light up a room.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Charles Grainger Jr. and spouse, Michell of Prattville, AL and Guy Bartly Grainger of Huntsville, AL. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Hannah Sylvest, Carter Grainger and Dalton Grainger. In addition, she leaves behind her sister, Doris Cline of Flagstaff, AZ; and brother, James Strickland of Lafayette, GA. She also leaves behind two nieces and three nephews.
A funeral service will take place at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Carbon Hill, AL on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, if so desired.
