Michael Edward Davis, 71, of Cordova, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Walker Hospital. A graveside service will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Walker Memory Gardens. Gary Key will officiate.
Michael served in the National Guard for 30 years. He was ordered to active duty in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991. He worked at the Walker County Sherriff’s Office for several years as a jailer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Busbin Davis, father, Edward Davis, and mother, Della Davis; siblings, David Courington and Deborah Davis Brewer; sister in law, Jane Courington.
He is survived by his daughter, Mandy Davis Mochel (Joey); siblings, Dale Courington (Durona), Donna Douglas (Wayne), Dee Davis Stephens (David), and Cindy Davis Mills; brother in law, Harold Brewer.
