Mr. Milton "Butch" Elvie Banks

November 19, 1944March 18, 2019

Milton "Butch" Banks, age 74, of Sanders Rd. in Jasper died Monday morning the 18th of March. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2019.Visitation with family will begin at 5:00 and the service will begin at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children. He was a world traveling scuba diver, sailor, sky diver, and explorer. He loved long river trips on his pontoon boat and riding his 1974 BMW motorcycle across this beautiful country. Though he enjoyed seeing and doing everything he could across the globe, he always came home to Alabama and was proud to be an American. He feasted on what this life had to offer and delighted in shocking people with his antics to get a laugh. He didn't have any patience for knuckleheads and wouldn't put up with a lot of BS, but he had a huge heart made of pure gold. Free of this earthly body, he's still traveling! Butch is survived by his wife, Norma Banks; children, Larry Banks and Terri Goeman; grandchildren, Megan Carnes and Amelia Goeman; and sister, Annette Entrekin.

Terri, that is a beautiful tribute to your dad. No doubt that you inherited his love for life and travel. You were blessed to share many adventures with him. I know you will miss him deeply and I hate that you, Norma, your Aunt Annette and many other loved ones will feel the deep pain of his earthy absence. I hope you find comfort in the loving and funny memories you created with him. Love, Libby
