Norma Jean Boyd

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Service will follow at 2 p.m., at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, with burial at Curry #2 Cemetery.

Norma was a wonderful wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and a friend to many. Norma dearly loved her church members and Sunday School Class fellowships, where she was a member at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She loved the life that she and Charles had made with each other. Norma enjoyed spending time with their blended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Glen King; beloved mother, Irene Vincent; and son-in-law, William “Bear” King.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Charles Boyd; daughters, Patsy Hicks Carroll (Bob) and Deborah Hicks King; step children, Pamela Reeve (Robert) and Charles W. Boyd (Dawn); grandchildren, Richard King, Shawn King (Tink), Terry King and Kim Narvasa; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; brother, V.C. Haggard and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
