Dorthy Oleta Key, 100, of Carbon Hill, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Walker Rehabilitation Center.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018, held in the Kilgore-Green Chapel at 2 p.m., with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Scott McCullar will officiate.

She was a devoted and faithful wife and mother at the age of 100. She still loved to read her bible and Sunday school book. She was a person of high morals “old fashion” values. She believed in God, family, and country and everything else came next. She loved her church and the people. She loved the people at Lakewood # 2 assisted living and we owe the people at Lakewood a great big thank you for all that you have done for Mother the last two years of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Key; parents, Elmer Norris and Clara Elizabeth Parnell Norris; brothers, Raymond Norris and Allen Norris (Virginia); sisters, Pamela Aldridge (J.B.), Billie Manning (J.D.), Noble Box (Kits), and Opal Estes (James).

She is survived by sons, Douglas Key (Cecelia), Randy Key (Glenda), Steve Key (Carolyn); grandchildren, Kim, Amy, Kelly, Katrina, Randall, and Adam; 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

I was saddened to learn of Mrs. Key's passing. She was indeed a fine lady. I know she will be missed greatly by all who were fortunate to know her.

So sorry for your loss your Mother was such a lady we enjoyed her at dyalisis. She always had a smile. I did not know who she was but she ask was a Woodley after that we enjoyed talking about her boy's.
