Rachel Leigh Prescott Barker Rachel Leigh Prescott Barker, 43, of Carbon Hill, passed away Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held today, Jan. 21, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Bro. Jerry White will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Barker was a dedicated nurse for 19 years, serving at Walker Baptist Medical Center, UAB and St. Vincent’s East. A loving mother to her son Caleb. She wanted all to know that “I have lived.” She is survived by her husband, Jeff Barker; son, Caleb Cooksey (fiancée, Katie Vinson); parents, Jim and Sybil Prescott; sister, Dana McCarver (Brent); and nieces, Jordanna Gunter (Chase) and Katie McCarver.
