Rachael Jeanette Oden, age 86, of Madison, Alabama, peacefully entered the presence of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
After spending more than 66 wonderful years devoted to the love of her life, Jeanette's heart longed to be reunited with her beloved husband. Just six short months after his passing on Christmas Day 2025, she joined him in Heaven, where together they are now reunited with family and dear friends who went before them.
Born to Luther and Clura Daily, Jeanette lived a life defined by faith, love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cornerstone of her home and the steady presence that brought comfort, strength, and encouragement to those who knew and loved her. Whether as a wife, mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother, she poured her heart into the lives of others and created a legacy that will continue for generations.
Jeanette's greatest joy was her family. She celebrated their successes, comforted them through life's challenges, and loved each of them unconditionally. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and selfless nature made everyone feel welcome and cherished. The lessons she taught through her actions—faith, perseverance, compassion, and love—will remain forever etched in the hearts of those blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob); her parents, Luther and Clura Daily; her son, Tim Oden; her brother, Billy Daily; and her sister, Peggy Shadix.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her son, Greg Oden; her grandchildren, Veronica Huff, Victoria (Josh) Anderson, and Alex Oden; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Violette Anderson and Gaines Anderson. Though they grieve her loss, they find comfort in knowing she is once again at peace in the arms of her Savior and reunited with the love of her life.
Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper, Alabama. Family visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by visitation for friends and family from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Bennett Cemetery in Jasper, Alabama.
