Ronald Neil "Bull" Martin, 69, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at 2 p.m., at Williams Chapel UMC on Hwy 69. Rev. Charlie Brown and Lee Witherington will officiate. Ron loved his family, deer hunting, fishing, Alabama Football, and his church. He was a faithful member of Williams Chapel, where he was studying to become an Advanced Lay Speaker. He was a standing member of the 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He lived his life for his wife, Vickie, and daughter, Kristen, baby girl. He never met a stranger. He always had a smile on his face, a joke on his lips, and a song in his heart. He joined the angels in heaven from his home, with his wife and daughter at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John D. Martin and Betrice Martin; infant brother; and grandparents, Bartow Phillips and Alice Aaron Philips and Henry and Ada Martin. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Elizabeth Lawrence Martin; daughter, Kristen Elizabeth Martin; brother, Kenneth Martin; sister, Carolyn Clouse; sister-in-law, Beckie Lawrence Jones (Randy); brother-in-law, Al Russel “Rusty” Lawrence (Judy); red-haired son; Jerry Lynn Higgins; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

I am heartbroken over the loss of this great man, everyone who knew Ron loved him. A great man was lost here on earth but heaven gained the best when Ron arrived at the gate, and dont worry Vickie I am sure if he forgot his cane, Billy Carter probably took it to him five days later. Love you so much
