Ronald Wayne Rigsby

Family will be receiving friends Monday, May 24, 2021, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Adam Brewer will officiate.

Ron was born October 20, 1954 to Don and Shirley Rigsby. He was saved and baptized in 1966. He married Jan July 28, 1972 and graduated Curry High School in 1973. Ron was ordained as a deacon in 1998 and served at Fall City Baptist Church and Farmstead Baptist Church. He retired from Drummond Coal in 2014 with 33 years of service. Ron loved his grandkids and spending time with his family. You could find him on Saturdays watching Alabama Football. He loved fishing and enjoyed working outdoors. Ron was passionate about the Lord, studying his word, and worshipping with his church family. He lived by his motto “God first, family second and everything else will fall into place”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Rigsby; in-laws, Earl and Pauline Baswell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jan Rigsby; children, Stacey Davidson (Russ) and Chad Rigsby (Amy); grandchildren, McKayla Davidson (Seth), Morgan Davidson, Owen Rigsby (Sahara),Roman Rigsby and Noah Davidson; mother, Shirley Rose Rigsby; brother, Mike Rigsby (Sandy) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Lee, Scott Bradshaw, Bill Palmer, Wendell Rigsby, Jerry Stricklin and Alan Berry.
