Sandra Kay Thompson, 65, of Jasper, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at her residence. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Day Cemetery. Bill Phillips will officiate. Thompson was a precious soul who knew the Lord. She was loved by everyone who met her, and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerita Clark Thompson and Samuel Richard Thompson; and grandparents, John and Lula Clark, Samuel Williams Thompson, and Ruby Woods. She is survived by her special parents, Margarett Pierce and Joe Pierce; special sisters, Ashley Pate (Brad), and Amanda Hollis (Dustin); special brother, Michael Pierce (Savanna); special niece, Amelia Hollis; special nephew, Jaxson Pierce; cousin, Elbert Leon Thompson Sr.; special aunt, Christine Collins; and a host of family and friends.
