Estell loved her family and providing for them. A true depiction of Southern hospitality, she was always the last to eat at family gatherings, making sure that everyone else was settled before she even considered making a plate. She had an open door policy with her home and it was not uncommon for people passing through to stop and say hello and sit a while. Estell loved gardening and cooking dishes from her garden. Canning vegetables and preserves in the summer was a staple in her household. The family will miss her famous Christmas sugar cookies and lemon iced-boxed pies among many other treasured dishes. She was a beautiful and classy woman that loved people deeply. Her thoughtfulness towards others was inspiring and she will be greatly missed by all.
