Mr. William Gary Thomas

Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 1 until 2 p.m., at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 2 p.m. at Guthrie Cemetery. John Butler will officiate.

Gary was the happiest man you have ever met. The loved his family, Jesus and spreading the gospel. He enjoyed listening music, playing the guitar and fishing. He had countless friends and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lloyd Thomas; grandparents, Maude and Curtis Thomas and Dewey and Deana Hodge; in-laws, Jack and Rachel Meadows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jennifer Celeste Thomas; daughters, Brandi Celeste Lively (Jack) and April Rachelle Yancey (Tim); grandchildren, Wyatt Jackson Thomas Lively and Ellie Claire Yancey; mother, Jessie Lee Mitchell; sister, Linda Joan Sparks (Wayne); brothers, Larry Allen Mitchell and Barry Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to, Apco, account of Brandi Lively, for the grandchildren college fund.

Pallbearers will be Larry Mitchell, Barry Mitchell, Tim Yancey, Jack Lively, Micah Franklin, Darrin Franklin, Michael Sparks, Chris Cheatham and Terry Harbison.
