Albert Gamble, 79 of Clarksville, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at home. He was born September 2, 1939 in Fredericktown, a son of the late Ray “Happy” and Ina Porter Gamble. Albert grew up in Fredericktown helping out at his dad’s service station. The family then moved to Clarksville, where Albert was able to meet a new group of friends, neighbors and church family. He was a member of the Clarksville Missionary Church. His family and friends were most important to him. Albert did love to travel and was always ready to take a trip…in a big rig would have been his favorite mode of transportation. And he had a passion for Newfoundland dogs. Surviving is a sister, Betty (Bruno) Ceccarelli of McMurray; brother-in-law to Dorothy Gamble and Reva Gamble; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, James Clifford Gamble, Glen Gamble, Kenneth Gamble and Raymond Gamble; and two sisters, Dona Gamble and Eileen Hootman. A special thank you to his caregivers, Family Ties, Tracy and Craig, the Matthews family, and a nephew and his wife, Charles and Vanessa Ceccarelli for taking care of Albert. Friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory p. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Kevin Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Albert was the sweetest and kindest man I knew. I grew up next to him and his family. Albert had such a love for cars! I remember hi and his dad working on cars next to the house. We had many discussions about cars. He amazed me how much he knew. After his mom and dad died, Albert spent a lot of time with our family. He would come for meals, or my mom would send something to his house. He loved sitting on the porch with my dad. Albert was a man of great faith! Going to church was important to him. I will miss most about Albert, is him greeting me when I came home for a visit. He would run off his porch and give me a big smile and hug. He was always so glad to see me. He will be greatly missed, but the joy he has seeing his family and friends! God just welcomed one of his special angels back home!

I am so very deeply sorry to learn of the passing of Albert. He was such a sweet and special man and friend to all he met ! He would always stop and chat with mom & dad ( (Wally & Kay Meyers) while going up and down the street ! I, too, had many conversations with Albert! I am deeply saddened but know he is in the loving arms of our dear Lord ! Amen. GI Town will certainly miss you, Albert! May you Rest In Peace!! 🙏🏼💕🙏🏼💕🙏🏼💕

I loved Albert, very sweet man. I was privileged to be his Pastor and friend for almost three years. He often walked to the parsonage or we'd walk up the hill to see him. My son Elijah was only around 3 -4 at the time and he loved visiting Albert and vice versa. Albert's faith in Jesus was very real and I know he's with his savior now. See you heaven, Albert!!!
