Betty E. Denny Thistlethwaite

She was born April 26, 1931 in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late Frank and Orpha Ball Denny.

Betty was a homemaker and had attended the Jefferson Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books and her family.

On September 29, 1948 she married Edward S. Thistlethwaite, who died July 30, 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon (Don) Shimek of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Dr. Terrie (Dave) Black of Williamsville, NY, Shawn (Cortney) Shimek of Washington, Blair (Sara) Thistlethwaite of Mather, and Adam (Toni) Thistlethwaite of Mather; five great grandchildren, Hunter and Michael Thistlethwaite, Morgan and Mason Thistlethwaite, and McKenzie Shimek.

Deceased in addition to her husband is a son, Edward F. Thistlethwaite; two sisters, Eldora Denny and Mary Phelps; four brothers, Mitchell, William, Joseph and Russell Denny.

At the request of the family the services are private and have been entrusted to the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
