Born on January 31, 1958, Bonita was a proud graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, Class of 1976. She dedicated her life to her family, finding her greatest joy and identity as a loving wife, mother, and especially, a devoted grandmother. Bonita was known by all who met her for her sweet and kind spirit and was loved deeply by her community and friends.
More than anything, Bonita absolutely loved being a grandmother. Her grandsons were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Bonita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin "Butchie" Hamm, and her oldest daughter, Melissa Sue Hamm Barbacow.
She is survived by her loving mother, Dorothy Cyr, her daughter, Kimberly Ann Hamm, and her three cherished grandsons: Eli Barbacow, Aaron Barbacow, and Gregory Michaux. Her legacy of kindness and unconditional love will live on through them.
