

He was born May 3, 1927 in Dry Tavern, a son of the late Martin V. and Lucy Malowski Grash.
Charles serviced in the United States Army during WW II.
He worked as a coal miner for Consol at Humphrey #7 Coal Mine.
Charles was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Rices Landing, the American Legion Post #816 Rices Landing, and the Dry Tavern Sportsman’s Club. An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, he enjoyed his hunting trips out west with his good friends the Kuharcik’s. In his later years he enjoyed his time with his great grandsons, Rocco and Aiden.
On August 9, 1952 he married Thelma M. Kotarsky, who died December 10, 2009. Charles and Thelma were known as frequent guests of Adams Pine Creek Restaurant
Surviving is a daughter, Doreen Zaccagnini and her husband David of Rogersville; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Zaccagnini and his wife Aimee of Mt. Lebanon, Deanna Zaccagnini and her husband David Mike of Lawrenceville, and David Justin “DJ” Zaccagnini of Dry Tavern; two great grandsons, Rocco Zaccagnini and Aiden Mike; a brother, Joseph Grash of Dry Tavern and two sisters, Mary Ann Russell of Brave and Margaret Pilie of Mississippi; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Leonard Grash; and two sisters, Helen Suehowicz and Theresa Headlee.
Friends will be received from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017 in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 13, 2017 with the __________________ officiating.
