She was born January 17, 1957 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Nelson R. Scott of Prosperity and the late Norma Stambaugh Scott.
Ms. Scott had worked as certified nursing assistant for the former Golden Living Center in Waynesburg.
Surviving is a daughter, Melissa (James) Phillips of Fredericktown; two grandchildren, Dakota and Sierra Phillips; six siblings, Sandy (Bill) Toland of Washington, Patty (Robin) Sirback of Lancaster, Kelly (Lloyd) Toland of Nineveh, Becky (Roy) Klein of Taylorstown, Nelson T. (Mary) Scott of Amity, and Nancy (Wallace) Leggett of Sycamore.
