She was born December 8, 1961 in Brownsville, PA, a daughter of the late Louis Richard Lee Garrett, Sr. and Ida Mae Thomas Garrett.
Diane graduated from Waynesburg Central High School on June 3, 1983. She was baptized on September 3, 2006 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pitt Gas, where she served as an usher.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are three sisters, Donna Jean Cage of Brooklyn, NY, Marlene Bransom of Pittsburgh, PA and Darlene Garrett of Clarksville, PA with whom Diane made her home; five brothers, Philip (Shirley) Thomas of Pittsburg, CA, Louis (Linda) Garrett of Antioch, CA, Gary Garrett of Clarksville, PA, Dennis Garrett of Clarksville, PA and Jeffrey (Cynthia) Garrett of Pittsburg, CA.; one aunt, Ethel Thomas, of Loganville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Diane was well-liked in the community and will be greatly missed. Her favorite past times were listening to Shirley Caesar on her CD player, counting her change and riding in the car with her friend, Patty Pataski.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor; additional visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., the hour of services in the First Baptist Church of Clarksville (Pitt Gas), 117 First St., Clarksville, PA 15322, with the Rev.
