Frances Koci Biel

She was born February 25, 1922 in New Geneva, a daughter of the late Paul and Frances Helisek Koci.

Mrs. Biel was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, reading and playing cards. She lived most of her life in Greene County and was Catholic by faith.

On November 24, 1945 she married Joseph Biel, who died November 27, 1989.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Pozsgai of Jefferson, Frances Shestag and her husband Gary Crone of Ohio and Roberta Biel Beck of Jefferson; a grandson, Joseph (Debbie/Cody) Pozsgai and his children, Jena (Jeffrey) Yardley, Alicia (Gary) Bunnell and her children Madison and Brantley, and Jonathan Pozsgai, granddaughter, Julia (Adam) Billingsley and her son, Devin Billingsley, grandson, Edward (Katie) Pozsgai, and his children, Brant Billie, Sophia Pozsgai and Dawson Pozsgai, grandson, Chris (Rebecca) Pozsgai and his son, Chris Pozsgai Jr., grandson, Scott (Tina) Shestag and his son Tristin Shestag, and Danielle (Robert) Davenport and her children, Autumn Davenport and Andy Davenport; two brothers, Paul Koci of Marianna and Edward Koci of Washington and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a sister, Mary Chato and three brothers, Martin Koci, Stanley Koci, and Augustine Koci.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 with Fr. John M. Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Hewitt Cemetery, Rices Landing.
