George W. White

He was born July 31, 1937 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy Harvey White.

Mr. White served in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1960.

He had worked for the Central Greene School District at the Waynesburg High School as a custodian. After retirement in 1999 he then worked for the school district as a security guard.

Mr. White had moved back to Waynesburg in 1980 after living out west. He was protestant and enjoyed playing golf.

On August 24, 1963 he married Joyce A. Waters, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter Barbara Brezinski and her husband Paul of Hickory and a son, Leigh White and his wife Julie of Waynesburg; and a brother, Donald White and his wife Mary Helen of Deming, NM.

Deceased is a son, George W. “Bill” White Jr.; and a brother Robert E. White Jr.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 with the Rev. Dr. Donald P. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
